COLLEGE MINISTRY

Welcome to the C4 College and Young Adult Ministry of First Baptist Church of Morristown! There are several ways that you can become involved in what God is doing in the Lakeway Area through FBC-Morristown. We have studied several topics recently which are important to this age group such as how to manage your finances, love and relationships, the Truth Project, a study of the Parables of Jesus and many more. Each semester, we meet on Sunday nights after church to discuss the book we are reading that helps us to grow in our knowledge of the Lord and what He is doing in our lives as well as others around the world. Some of the books we have studied include Radical, Crazy Love, Experiencing God and Mere Christianity, just to name a few. We take several mission trips throughout the year as well as minister to those around us here in the Lakeway community. God is doing amazing things in the lives of our students and young adults and we want you to be a part of that! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. I look forward to meeting you soon.

Soli Deo Gloria!

 WHO WE ARE

“…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.”

Our purpose is to connect with Christ and others to impact 4 main areas: Our Church, Our Campus, Our Community & Our Culture for the Cause of Christ. We believe that God has given us the privilege of knowing Him and serving Him as ambassadors in all areas of life, locally, abroad and ultimately, to the nations! We are convinced that all of our students are missionaries and are making a difference for the glory of God, both now and for the future!

We have students from several colleges who are a part of our ministry which includes Carson-Newman, Walters State, East Tennessee State University, Tennessee, Tusculum, Lincoln Memorial, Liberty, Samford, Middle Tennessee State, Lee, Johnson Bible College, The Art Institute, and UT-Chattanooga, just to name a few. But you don’t have to be in college to be a part of the C4 ministry.

We are starting an awesome ministry this year known as “Adopt-A-College Student”.  This ministry is an exciting opportunity for those of you away from home to voluntarily sign up for an escape from the daily grind of campus life.  Because honestly you need the occasional home-cooked meal, laundry “assistance”, relationship and relaxation!  There are already several families waiting and excited to meet you!

We are also looking for a few good men (and women) for Ministry Interns throughout the year… make sure you contact our Student Pastor if you are interested.

 WHAT WE DO

There are several ways to get involved in C4. We take a mission trip each summer and during Fall break. We also minister to those in need in our community.  WHERE WE GO

We are excited to be part of a mission-driven church at First Baptist. We believe in the Acts 1:8 approach to missions to be His witnesses in Jerusalem (minister to the Morristown area), Judea (missions in Tennessee), Samaria (spread God’s love in the United States) and to the end of the earth (engage in international missions). C4 College Ministries has a real heart for missions and the advancement of the Gospel at home and around the world. We take church-sponsored mission trips as well as partner with the Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Walters State to minister at various places. Some of those places have included New Orleans in the aftermath of Katrina, Nashville after the devastating 2010 flood, Louisville to work with a homeless shelter, Joplin, Missouri for tornado relief, Atlanta to work with local churches, Providence, Rhode Island to assist with church planting and a foreign mission trip to the Dominican Republic. The Great Commission tells us to go and spread the good news of the Gospel and we would love for you to join us in an efforts to do that.
